  1. Using the formula F = \dfrac{9}{5} C+32 to convert Centigrade scale to Fahrenheit scale. If Centigrade scale is 20\degree C, Fahrenheit scale is

    F = \dfrac{9}{5}\cdot 20+32 = 36+32 = 68\degree F

    which shows A is correct 68\degree F corresponds to 20\degree C.

    If Centigrade scale is 40\degree C, Fahrenheit scale is

    F = \dfrac{9}{5}\cdot 40+32 = 72+32 = 104\degree F

    which shows B is not correct.

    Therefore only A is correct
