    (-\dfrac{b}{2a},\dfrac{4ac-b^2}{4a} )

    Here for the function y=2x^2+4x-5, the coordinates of its vertex is

    (-\dfrac{4}{2\times 2 } ,\dfrac{4\cdotp 2\cdotp (-5)-4^2 }{4\times 2 } )

    That is

    (-1, -7)

    So the correction answer is B
