\dfrac{\sqrt{2}+\sqrt{6} }{1+\sqrt{3} }

=\sqrt{ \Big( \dfrac{\sqrt{2}+\sqrt{6} }{1+\sqrt{3} }\Big)^2}

=\sqrt{\dfrac{8+4\sqrt{3} }{4+2\sqrt{3} } }=2
