Answer

When x = 1 , y = -2x + 8 = 6

The length of One right side is

6 - (-4) = 10

When y = -4 , x = \dfrac{8-y}{2} = 6 ,

The length of another right side is

6 -1 = 5

\therefore the area of the triangle is,

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 10\times 5 = 25
